I found this Porsche 917 photo just surfing around the net; whats strange is that weird intakes going over the top of the car. Anyone know what this might be? Title of the photo is 'Brands Hatch '71'.
Yes, it didn`t quite have the effect, they were hoping for.
On a side note, John Wyer was rather miffed when he spotted the Martini Cars with those air scoops since they were obviously designed with works support.
At the following Le Mans test days the Gulf team tried them out by themselves, but, as Graham said, no gain in performance came with them.
