Wow! Look at the distortion on that outside tyre. At first I thought it had positive camber!

Given the attitude of the car I reckon the driver is in the process of upping his heart rate. Braking hard, quite a bit of drift angle compared with other tyre marks. Without knowing what track contour was just prior to this pic its a hard call, would love to see before & after shots from this photo.

Good shot, but there actually is not that much tyre distortion or roll if you were to compare it to other cars of the same genre on high profile tyres.
15" and 17" rear rims and Avon or Dunlop rubber does give you a lot of grip and i,ve only had the tail of mine let go once in the wet.
The open rear end makes things look more dramatic.

what is the exact tire size on a 917? Didnt it change depending on the year? I'm kinda wondering if my favorite local tire manufacturer makes some in that size. The manufacturer is hoosier tire... | |
