Just finished John Horsman`s book "Racing in the rain".
A riveting read and IŽd like to warmly recommend it to everyone even if he is only remotely interested in the subject.
Not only that he is revealing many technical details and personal things about former team manager David Yorke, Carroll Shelby, John Wyer and the likes but also the book is full of behind-the -scenes anecdotes like the one of the Gulf/Wyer mechanics disturbing roadside parking lovers while bedding-in brake pads of a GT40 at night or the laughter of the assembled racing teams at Daytona 71 while being given an exclusive preview of Steve McQueen`s Le Mans-movie.
I got a copy yesterday, I am now sleep deprived, read most of it last night. Very hard to put down and full of great pictures. thanks for the tip Marcus.
