Re: ChrisL I think, at Sandown yesterday 4th

Yes Ross that's me. Don't know how I didn't see this post till today

For what it’s worth, I'm competing in the Victorian MSCA sprint championships and currently leading the championship in my class after two events (a 3rd at Calder and a 1st at Sandown). I'm not sure if it says something about me or the opposition, but in any case I'm pretty happy with it considering I'm running in full road trim, right down to the street tyres (not street legal track tyres) standard brakes/suspension, and babying the engine and trans... drive it to the track and drive it home at the end

Just curious. Who took these pics?

Chris
Pics were taken by a friend of my son James. They are Toyota freaks so I think they were on Toymods. Well done on the MSCA result so far.

Way to get at it Chris and keep up the good work. The pics and the car look great!

Cheers!

Re: ChrisL I think, at Sandown yesterday 4th

Thanks for your good wishes guys. The next event at Winton will be the real indicator though. It’s a tight track with no really long straights so it will really show up if there are any deficiencies in the handling department.

Incidentally, I had a few exciting moments on the sweeper that day at Sandown while overtaking a TVR so I’ve come to the conclusion (conceded you might say) that the rear geometry needs to be altered for track use. I’m trying to get this done before Winton now. It’s a variation on Ross’s solution except that I don’t want to delete the nolathane bushes or alter the existing mounting-points/major-components hence the need for the variation.
