The Race TrackRacing and Race Car Discussions Of All Types.
Weather was great, dry all day. A good variety of cars up and down pitlane from Enzo's to TR6's. We had garages 9a, b and c filled with my GTD and Prosport, Charles' GTD, Ray Christopher's GTD spyder, Bjorn's FIA GT3 Viper and John's 993 Cup car.
In support came friends from on and off the forum including Lee Stanley, Martin Potts, Brian Magee, and Tony Hunt. These last two brought their 40's along which was good to see. Always useful to have donor cars on standby at a race track! But not needed today. David brougt his Austin 7 up to be the oldest car there, even older than some of the BRDC drivers having their AGM today! A good day for face spotting, JYS et al.
Anyway this thread is about pics not words so I will stop just after saying thank you to all who helped me get my car there especially my wife Wendy for time out to play and Glenn who did a lot of work on the bodywork recently. And thanks to all who have played with/driven the car over the last 15 years. Here is to the next 15!
1st pic is the car the night before whilst all clean and shiny! The 2nd is en route up to Silverstone. I didn't take any pictures at the track but I know others did so will leave it to those top fellows to post at their discretion.
Enjoy.

A few pics from the day and what a great time was had by all!
I even jumped in with Malc in his Prosport for the 'last session' of the day and boy does that shift!! - but the cornering has to be experienced to be believed ... Simply stunning!
I was offered a drive of both the Viper Comp Coupe and Malc's Prosport - - but decided to 'save thaf for another day' as I had already driven for some 300 miles already yesterday before arriving at Silverstone.....
Now I'm back up there this afternoon to collect another car..... doh!!
Enjoy!

Thanks very much to Martin and Charles for taking me out. I had a great day, and the weather turned out really nice.
A very impressive turnout of cars in all. Not 1 but 2 Carrera GTs, both out on track, lots of Ferrari 360s, a Lamborghini, TR6, MGB, Austin 7.
Excellent. I just need my car finished so I can join them.

What a fab day it was, and your birthday-boy 40, Malc, looked totally fantastic. As usual it was good getting back on track, but even better with so many mates to share the experience with. The Viper ran beautifully all day, and we had passengers on every run.
Nadine, Fangs and I are booked to do another Goldtrack day 21st August at Silverstone GP. Please come'n join the fun!
I really enjoy the pictures, thanks for putting them up! Put some in the Gallery too so they'll pop up on the Random Thumb section at the top of the page.
A final picture from David, whose A7 you can see lurking in the background. It looks like I am explaining to Robin (who built my Propsport, and indeed most Prosports ever made) that I may have poo'ed my pants in a hairy corner judging by the way I am standing! And Glenn seems to be struggling to hear what is being said to him. Maybe Bjorn had fired up Fangs, the Viper?
