No it's a Triumph with an all alloy SLR body.

Thanks for the heads up on for my blog Michael at the risk of sounding pedantic the car John posted a photo of is not the Triumph with an SLR Body built by John Spritzel and Chris Lawrence but the first of the three Morgan chassis with Triumph power and an SLR body. This car was originally built for the Group C2 racer Gordon Spice who crashed it just 3 laps after taking delivery of it at Goodwood in 1964.

Good call! I think it's one of those sixties cars that just look right.

No worries Micheal

I had never seen one before I went to this years Silverstone Classic John, I was amazed the four SLR cars had managed to slip under my radar for so long. As you say they just look oh so right in an e-mail response from a mutual acquaintance John Sprintzel said "Thanks for the photos, My Goodness, they were good looking cars weren't they?" more on the SLR's can be found in "Morgan Maverick" by the late Chris Lawrence.
