Jaguar V12s

Not sure where to post this, so this looks good. I'm thinking very long term, 2 to 3 years out, and am wanting to assemble bits for a XJ13 (yes I know, haven't got my 40 yet but I've got cash in hand, just need to find the 40). I'd like to acquire these bits slowly, engine and gearbox being first. That said, I've been on the lookout for Jag V12s and have been coming up short. Fran, or anyone, got any sources? I've been bidding on the V12 sedans from the 80s but they keep going for more than I want to pay even though I feel I can part them effectively.

The G50 won't be hard, but the engine could be a different story. When I was looking and not buying, 5 mnths ago, I found a lot of them. Now I have space for one and can't find any.

Thanks,
Ron

Re: Jaguar V12s

That is far too expensive, too far away, and has a lot more than needed. I've found running motors for $300 before. I want one that is running or did run recently, so that I can rebuild it and sell off the parts I will not use.
