Mystery Part(s)?

Hi Folks,

I came across four of these plates while unpacking the RCR which I assume are for reinforcing the rear mounts where the body attaches to/pivots on the rear extension (based on a similar shape I noticed in one of the photo's Ron McCall posted in his build thread). I have four of these and they are each 1/4" thick.

If they are for the rear pivots, are you using 2 per side (that's a 1/2" of plate!) to sandwich the mounting point? and did you bond them to the frp (e.g. with 3M duramix) or just use fasteners to mechanically clamp it?

Thanks,

Al

Sorry Al.
rear pivot reinforcement plates....they have waterjetted holes for alignment.

I recommend using them to sandwich the inner fender panel.....
