Here are some cool pictures of the headers Fran has had fabricated for my aluminum Yates engine. This is probably not the best way to start a build thread but this is what I have. I will post the engine stuff first.
Bill, I am using a 302 based aluminum SVO block that has a deck hieght of 8.7 instead of the 8.2 standard hieght. The heads are Robert Yates Racing with titanimun valve train and Jesel rockers. I am using a billit crank and Oliver billit rods with custom Diamond pistons to get the compression down to 10.7. I am having Price Motorsports build a custom 3 piece intake for the webers. And finally, we are using a Weaver 5 stage dry sump system to make sure nothing blows up. I am going to try a McLoed Street Twin button clutch with a billit aluminum 4 spoke flexplate. I will post some pictures of the engine later today. It will safely turn to 8000rpm.
The one in the car is just a spare at Fran's shop.
