| Fran,
That's why I brought up the 68-73 Datsun Bluebird aka Datsun 510.
It was raced by BRE Brock Racing Enterprises in the SCCA 2.5 Challenge Trans-AM Series winning the championship for the 1971 and 1972 seasons.
Some Bluebird/510s are still racing today.
Chassis design and roll cage spec are available, the hood, trunk lid, front fenders and front spoiler are available in fiberglass already (may need to be looked at, might not be up to RCR quality specs).
No one has built a replica of it.
Just a thought.

I saw this car at Monterey last year. As I understand, it is actually built by Pininfarina, not by Ferrari, but it is on an Enzo platform. Fran, if you build this car, I will definately buy it!

| Re: RCR's Next car should be..... Ron,
there is a Muira replica being done by Parallel Designs based in the UK...although they are having issues from what I understand...
I could never copy Jims p4/5...... it deserves to be a one off...its rare anyone has the balls to do an original design, I hope to be able to have a ride in it sometime.

why would you build an ERA type car Fran as you know tiger is doing that thing.
I think something different is in order and considering v8 Twin turbo is even original....

| Re: RCR's Next car should be..... Thomas,
I would not consider an ERA type car...
I am quite content with our current offerings and I hope the Superlite Coupe will rasie some eyebrows in the performance car world...with or without the Lexus twin turbo currently fitted...
I did not start this thread but am happy to go along with everyones ideas...you never know???!!

Rep Power: 2 | Re: RCR's Next car should be..... Fran,
The fact that you:
"could never copy Jims p4/5...... it deserves to be a one off...its rare anyone has the balls to do an original design,"
indicates that you are a true gentleman.
You have an incredible group of cars you are producing, and really need no others.
However, if one would dare to imagine a car that exhibits some of these retro-styling (P-4) characteristics, coupled with your mono-chassis, and perhaps with the three-seating configuration of the Mclaren F1, wouldn't that be a work of art?
I have an M6 with a 500 HP V-10. If you mate that engine with the technology that you already produce, a chassis of the quality that you already exhibit, and a body style drawn from (not copied) from the P4/5, just think of the possibilities!
Just dreaming!
Keep up the great work! I hope to own one of your creations in the near future.
