We received a Mendeola trans today for mock up and immediately started on a mock up rear end for the SL-C.....

Nice looking unit at first glance...I am looking forward to adding another choice to the menu .....

Price? Power capability? Weight compared to the Ricardo and G50?

Is this the fabled Mendeola trans that has been rumored for years, similar in size to the G50 but higher torque rating?

Thats the one ..the SDR.

I will get the full specs and let you know....its a good fit for quite a few of the RCR range and being US built should hopefully have stable pricing ....hopefully I said!!

Having spoken with Mike and Victor at Mendeola...they would say Yes.

I know they are working on much higher ratios for the high speed track and open highway races...allowing 200mph plus.

lighter and smaller than the Riccardo, still handles twin turbos, less money!

A six speed with 210 mph top speed sounds like it would be perfect, gotta leave a little head room so you know you'll break the 200 mark!

.....Do you think the SL-C with a LS7 and this could be set up to do under 3 sec 0-60 (assuming you can get the traction of course...) and 200+ mph?

No I dont think under 3 sec is possible..

Even with launch control and even then not really a reality...thats bloody fast....

I've heard Ultima owners claim 2.8, and it was only like 500 hp.

Many ratios available and price will be approx double the cost of the G50 you speced out...

I hate sticker shock as much as the next guy but the only reason I see for not publishing a price is that it's made up on the fly...

Hope things are well.

Is the Mendiola box another one of thos G50 clones?

Someone told me along the way, and not really sure who it was now (but I think he was a Porsche specialist here in the UK), that the GT3 box is a G50 with extra gears and a different housing.

Perhaps someone can confirm this one.

Saw the Mendiola box at SEMA last year in a GT40 (think it was an SPF) and it looked good.

Ii believe the Ricardo box can handle more power and torque than all of the other boxes on the market (with the exception of the CIMA / Gearfox box).
