They are awesome.

Love the yellow one..looks like a lexus quad cam V8 with twin turbo. What gearbox are you using and do you make the adapter plates for them as well?
I would be very interested in that setup here ...

Would they be road registerable in America?

Craig,

1UZFE engine .....a cracking unit and almost bullet proof ....the car shown has a G50 box.

The engine bay is large enough to handle almost any longitudinal engine trans package.LS7....New Hemi......ANY V6....etc etc

One of the design criteria was to enable the new Ford GT transaxle to be used in the future....it is a pretty bullet proof box that is readily available from Ford dealers and will hold 1000hp....proven.

One of the shortcomings of some of the other mid-engine sportscars in the market place is that they only allow the use of one engine and one transaxle....this is short sighted and not a direction I wanted to pursue.

We have dropped Subaru engine and box in the chassis and it also fits nicely....for another import engine trans package thats very tunable and readily available....we will be trying a Porsche 911 engine soon too.

We are located in the USA and will have the Coupe on the street in Michigan very soon.

The car as shown has a Digidash Pro datalogging /GPS track mapable unit and is the standard dash unit we are offering with the car...

Wow, Fran. Major droolage happenin' here. Hope they don't think I peed my pants!

Love the RCR-P! Quite Space-Age!!

The Roadster as shown weighs 1100lbs...with the engine removed Adrian , one of the RCR fab guys and myself have lifted the complete roller and moved it around the shop.

The Coupe as shown with the twin turbo set up....2150lbs

I think that with the stock 205 hp of the SC Ecotec and the 550plus hp of the TT Toyota their weight will be Superlight enough for me.....how about you Mark.??

Beautiful Fran!!!!

Now the real question....what is the price point? Are they going to be similar to your other offerings?

The roadster roller is $16,000 minus drivetrain but including the new Digidash light dash...with a choice of nosecone/fender options.
The Coupe is $44,995 as a Deluxe Plus package with the datalogging dash as shown.

Well, considering that it appears to have a cage, or at least a rollbar, and considering one could probably ditch the Toyota engine and its hair dryers and associated plumbing for a NA LS7, saving, I'd think, at least 50 pounds in the process, I'd say any road car that weighs in under 1,000 kg is pretty damn light.

Has Ron weighed his RCR 40 yet? I'm curious to see how much your cars weigh in actual street trim.

I saw some pics earlier this morning but the Superlight roadster wasn't covered much there. Thanks for putting these up - that SL roadster is an awesome car, I like that very much. Very minimalist and many engine options and ideas for that one.

Now what I need is some space and time. Funny how life changes as you get older - early on lots of time and no money, later the situation is reversed. I got no place to put one.....yet.

fran,
nice engine. great idea. don't know about the turbos though...
hey, i really llike the roadster, oops, superlight. that's what i wanted to do with my top.
how about some more pictures?

That yellow looks hot Fran! Maybe a little too hot for to make it under the local radar.

With Twin Turbos (what do you some of you have against twins?) you may want to beef up the traction ...... uh-huh, dats what I'm talking 'bout......uh-huh.
