How about a V12 LS engine?

Currently at least, this engine suffers the same 'shortcoming' as the Viper V-10...nine million cubes that produce Briggs and Stratton-level h.p. in comparison. Figuratively speaking, it ought to produce 717 h.p. at idle given its size ('sarc' for those who might not recognize it) . For example, the old Lambo V12 produced around 700 h.p. from 397 (okay, 396.5) cubes if I remember right.

An LS V8 can be made to produce 700 h.p. (or much more in TT form) while avoiding the physical size/weight penalties created by the V12...not to mention $$$$$ differences.

JMHO...
