RCR40 MK2 pictures?

Just wondering if anyone would mind to share some pictures of a RCR40 MK2? I've looked all over the website (RCR's and here) and only found a single rear 3/4 pic on one of the Fran's pages...

Plenty of MK1 pictures, but I'm coming up short on finding MK2 pictures

Thanks!

I was really hoping to see the mk2 front... i want to do the opposite with mk2 front-mk1 rear

the mk2 is still listed as an option for their kits

sounds great Fran... If all goes well then I plan to be talking to you around the end of next summer. I know it's a ways off...

Tray,

I dug out a few pics of my RCR Mk11 showing as delivered and final state. Body is from 2006 and I assume Fran would be using the same moulds now.

Let me know if you want any specific angles and I will see what other pictures I have.

Thanks. Yes the RX-8 was my road car at the time. Now long gone. Still have a RX-7 FB as my other play car alongside the RCR Mk11.

Tray like Tom said we choose the mk-1 nose and the mk-2 tail, I just like the lower mk-1 nose without the larger wheel arches that are on the two. I do like your idea of the mk-2 nose and mk-1 tail, anybody got pictures out there of that combo? I'm sure Fran will sell you what ever combo you want he did for me.........................mahlon

mahlon, I have several pics on my pc of the combo I've found from links on this forum... I'll upload a few in a little bit

here are a few i've found... and added to my collection to help keep me on track...

Those all look like Mk1 noses to me. A true Mk11 nose does not have the central NACA duct. It does appear to be difficult to tell based on the wheel arch humps but when you see them next to each other it is obvious. I have attached some pictures of Mk1 and Mk11 at Goodwood 2013 all taken in roughly the same place and angle. You will see it is difficult to tell the difference from some angles. The best comparison would be the picture of 1008 (Mk1 front and Chris Melia/RCR MK11 rear) and 1046 MK11 front and rear.

this is one thing I like about this pic:

attachment.php

the fenders on #7 appear to arch up more to me than #9, thinking #7 has mk2 and #9 is mk1.

and when comparing these 2 pics, I see more arch on the top compared to the lower pic

It looks like there are 2 types of MK1 front in use with different size arches. The attached picture shows both styles in one shot. It does however seem to vary dependent on the angle of the picture as you will see when comparing shots of cars I took turning off of track at Goodwood.

I am sure someone will be able to chime in with differences, perhaps between early 65 spec cars and later 68, 69 spec cars.
