| Re: Any Pictures from Carlise yet???!!! Thanks Ron, great photos. Yeah, I'm with Bill...those GT40's are sweet. Fran must have been stoked to have both yours & Mark's GT40 there to display. How sinister is that black SL-C with black wheels & smoked headlight covers?

| Re: Any Pictures from Carlise yet???!!! Congratulations to Mr. Hall and the RCR company, the SL-C is quite simply a stunning creation. It will no doubt serve as a landmark automobile that forces everyone in the industry to ask "why should I buy a Porsche or a Ferrari when this car exists?" Wonderful work, you are to be commended for what you have just given to the sportscar community. |

| Re: Any Pictures from Carlise yet???!!! When Fran fired up the SL-C around mid-day all the women and children left pavilion. It was quite alarming if you didn't know he was going to do it...I was one of the ones who didn't! I must confess I jumped! Awesome!Ron took pictures before the crowds came in, so I didn't get as many pics without potential RCR customers in my pictures. But I will post few more of the boy's engine bays...once I shrink my pics to fit. More soon, Howard ____________________________________________________________ ___ RCR40 in oven! | Re: Any Pictures from Carlise yet???!!! Here they are. I realize from looking at the fotos it is a lot about the thrill of putting something together "your way", solving problems to "get 'er done" and sharing the excitement of you efforts with others. The first engine is on Mark's car. The one he was working on until "Oh dark late (or early)" Saturday before loading up the clan and hauling everyone from Connecticut to Carlisle. They must really love you! They all seemed to be in good moods, they must have gone back to sleep in the car or you bribed them. The second one is Ron's monster engine and the third is in Fran's yellow and black 40. I didn't get a shot of the SL-C motor I was to busy trying to grasp the complexity and beauty of the beast! I didn't even think to take a picture. |

| Re: Any Pictures from Carlise yet???!!! Here's a couple more of the SL-C. This car is beautiful straight out of the mold, it hasn't been painted or puffed and it looks great! I think that's Fran with the cup in his hand working on a sale! |

| Re: Any Pictures from Carlise yet???!!! Fran needs to get back to the shop and get my car the F*&^ out of there. He will so swamped with questions and orders that he won't know which end is up. I bet the pictures don't do diddly justice to that SLC in person. When I was there, he was still mocking up the diffuser. The back end of that thing is just mind blowing. Unfortunately, I think silver would be incredible, and that means coughing up for the full body prep and paint ![]() Thanks for the pictures!

| Re: Any Pictures from Carlise yet???!!! We just got back from our 580 mile round trip to Carlisle. Nothing like bringing the whole family and brother in law for an interesting trip. We made it a family affair and it was fun for all, but I had a blast on Saturday! The weather was great and I met so many wonderful people from several of the forums I frequent (Howard, it was great to meet you in person and I will take you up on your kind offer at some point). Ron McCall's car is magnificent and he is a great guy. His is the perfect track car and looks ready to go at a moments notice. He was very helpful to me and I enjoyed our conversations. Good luck at Pocono next weekend, buddy! My son took lots of pictures and I will post them soon. This includes that black SLC inside and out. It is stunning!!! I loved it, but even more when Fran started it up (It only has straight pipes running through small converters and sounds sweet, but I knew it was one of my favorites when the wife said it looks too much like Darth Vader for her taste! I agree that silver would be a perfect color. Pictures to come once we get them loaded up.

| Re: Any Pictures from Carlise yet???!!! Ron, this picture is great (that's my son Mike in the red shirt and black hat), but more so due to the order of RCR GT40s. Yours in the front is the standard rear width, mine next is the +2 and Frans' yellow one is +4.

| Re: Any Pictures from Carlise yet???!!! Thanks everyone for the photos, Mark I will really be interested in seeing the full set of the SLC (gee I wonder why?). Did the SLC move under it's own power? What did the shifter look like?, and the dash? and, and, and (breathe......) I ordered mine in gray gelcoat, for one thing so I would not be locked into a color and among other things so I could consider a black metallic canopy and silver or gray body..... we'll see. |
