Front Suspension Lower Arms Install

I've installed the front suspension on the left side of the car, no problems. Bolts up beautifully and is well constructed.

I'm having problems on the lower arm on the right side of the car. When I put the bushings in the arm and try to fit it in, it is about a 1/8-3/16 of an inch too long and the bushing wil not compress enough to make it up.

I bent the dog ear out a little, but it isn't the ears it is the frame that won't quite let it in.

Therefore, I can take the red bushing out of the arm, put it in the lathe and take off about 1/16" or so, but is this a good solution? It'd still have material between the frame and the arm if I did this, I think.

Re: Front Suspension Lower Arms Install

Just as a followup, Robert from RF called me at home and we discussed the fitting at length. Shaving the bushing a slight amount is the way to go, but not so much that it fits in uncompressed. Thanks for the help Robert,

Ron
