Hi Peter, I dont know the size, but I do know Laquer Thinner easily affects the coat on my chassis, you can try that on a rag and "screw" it into the hole. If it does not help out nothing lost . I am building chasis no94. I ve had the same need as you to re tap the door hinge mounting plate and also the door pins. The thread size is 14mm with 1.5 pitch.
