adhesive for heat reflective matting

Has anyone any suggestions which adhesive would be best to adhese the reflective matting in the rear clip to the body work. Mine has a clear glaze paint work in this area .(now I have 6 forward gears and one reverse available from the cockpit I can move forward)

Re: adhesive for heat reflective matting

I used an ordinary can of contact. It was sticking to matte black paint. I have not had any problems.

Huw,
I used this stuff:
Gold Reflective Film
It is self-adhesive, and VERY light. Good stuff.

Wink Re: adhesive for heat reflective matting

Contact Cement was originally used on RF80 with the result that when I recived the car the heat shield was falling off especially were the pipes heated the deck when open. I replaced it with a self adhesive material called Zer Clearance. It is designed to protect body work and floor pans from direct exhaust heat and workes very well, See details here CoolAndQuiet.com

With the clip closed you feel very little heat on the rear deck and the adhesive does not come loose with heat.
