Residual pressure valve was not backwards....but obviously had a little too much pressure and kept the pads tight enough against the rotor that as they heated up, the drag was pretty significant.

Ok, so on a MKIV, there's side inlets on the back shell that need to go directly to the turkey pan. On the original cars, these are glass tubes that when the shell closes rests right in the pocket...

I'm with ya on that. It's an unfortunate side effect....either tires stick out and proper offset or wrong offset and tires inside wells. You can see what I chose...Tires sticking out just kills me.
