I thought I recognized that nickname from another forum.

Check out the "SLC Clubhouse" sub-forum here. There should be some GTR build threads, along with a wealth of other RCR knowledge.

Good choice. Hope you do a build thread.

Look us up if you're ever in Dallas.
I lived in OKC and used to be up there a lot, but haven't been up there in several years.

2018 Le Mans

Anybody going to be there the week before the race this year?

If so, perhaps we can arrange to get together for a beverage (or two) .

Re: Highest horsepower gt40?

Brian,
Just to clarify, are you talking about the GT-40, or Fran's GT-R?

Seems like the GT-R might be the better option? Maybe a carbon fiber one. :)

Re: How Do You Keep Your Garage Clean?

I may be in the minority, but I'm not a fan of the epoxy floor paint. It can make the floor slippery, especially if any fluid drips or spills on it. It can also make it hard to get foot traction if...

Re: 3D Printing Aluminum Parts

Pretty slick. I haven't sand cast aluminum since junior high and wondered off and on if it would make sense for some parts. Seems like it was the perfect solution for what you needed.

Re: 3D Printing Aluminum Parts

Cool Frank. A few questions:

Got any more info or photos of your sand/plaster molds?
What did you use to melt down the aluminum?
Source for the aluminum you used?

Thanks,
John

As they always say, what do you intend to do with the car?
If it's street only, the extra power is not needed.
But the sound, oh yes that sound is absolutely necessary in that car. :)
