Yes, that's the basic idea. You can actually mount the IAC is a variety of locations - it's essentially just a breathing tube for add'l air into the plenum downstream of the throttle...

Just to be precise, the mechanicals (inlet manifold, TB's, linkage, etc.) is a speedmaster product. The EFI control system you're working with is made and sold by FAST...

Highly recommend the fuel cooler/radiator idea Terry mentions - have used that before with good effect.

Keep in mind this is fuel flowing through, so, there needs to be appropriate protection...

I have to replace the large (huge!) HEI distributor on my 347 with something smaller to clear the new injection manifold and TB's going onto the car. The HEI dizzy is just way too big to clear.

That's one thing that can happen with these 016's...... There's a strengthening plate you can add at the back which helps with this problem as a preventative measure.
