8th March 2002 - Willowbank Raceway - Brisbane
-x5 DRB GT40 owners get together for a practise day - The three fuel injected cars (Trevor Stevens black beast - Tim Trittons Gulf coloured and Gary Carpenters Yellow Car) and Chris Hatfield's 289ci (yellow/red) racing car and my red 302 cu running road tyres
Had a great day - with no 'offs' and the handful of spectators were treated to some good racing sounds. Trevor with his new brakes and Gary probably the fastest - but no one timed - as we were all out to enjoy ourselves - hopefully make it a regular practise day - heres some photos Glenn Eaton took of the cars:

Have you ever considered snorkel scoops on your MKI? An original MKI by Alan Mann had them as well as #1054.

Anyway, thanks again. It looked like an awesome GT40 day!

The Annual "Muscle Car Shoot 0ut" held at Queensland Raceway on Sunday
19 May 2002, included over 200 "1960's V8 Muscle Cars"

5 DRB GT40's competed in the "Shoot Out", Fastest Lap of the day
competition and DRB GT40's finished with the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th fastest times ahead of some super powerful
Mustangs, Corvettes, Falcons and Holdens.

Is it (dare I even mention ferrari) fly yellow?
