blue monocoque paint color

Does anyone have a paint code or color name for the medium dark blue that was used on the tub of the original cars? Would appreciate this if anyone knows it. Thanks!

Sorry to not be able to help, other than prototypes were blue painted...
Later production cars were black.

Yes, I think we are going to paint the tub blue. In some ways, we are striving for originality and I guess this is one of them. You think if the outside is yellow I'll have to take a lot of flak for my choice of colors?.......just kidding, actually, I think the body color is going to be a burgundy metallic with the stripes done in off-white, so they ought to go well together. And you only see the blue with the front or rear clips open.

Are you going to paint your tub blue?
IMHO unless your body color goes with blue, it's gonna look like you're color blind.
Be prepared for "non complimentary" remarks.

Blue and yellow are great colours..
(Swedish flag !)
If you are not into prototypes, then it should be black.
But everybody does what suits them..
