About this time of year I start planning the trip to the Isle of Man for the Three Hills Challenge.

This year the dates are; to go on either 21st or 22nd April and return on 27th April.

Please can you let me know if you want me to book you space on the ferry and your hotel accommadation (at the Mount Murray Hotel).

So long as you are there by evening of 22nd April you can get scrutineered on 23rd April. Some guys just go a day early to practi...sorry, I mean tour the island!

Both spectators and competitors can be catered for.

This is a real GT40 intense week with almost more socialising than competing going on.

Already 5 people have registered serious intent. Why not join them?

Malcolm

PS You need to be a GTD club member to compete but if circumstances are practical, I am happy to arrange accommadation etc if you are a GT40s.com forum member.

Interesting news indeed cometh forth from the Isle of Man. As some may know the Manx Motor Racing Club were considering a fourth event on the Sunday, but the island seems to be evacuating that day so they have dropped the idea.

Only to replace it with the idea of an late afternoon/evening sprint on the Thursday. This would be past the TT Grandstand and about 1/4 mile in lenght. A bit like the Brighton Speed Trials.

I know today is the day of the track inspection but hey if it is good enough for bikes at 180 mph then it has to be good enough for the likes of us. Guys, do you remember that evening a couple of years back when the practice was starting for the TT proper? Bikes at 180 mph down the local high street getting airbourne off man hole covers!

Lets hope they do it. Four events in three days? Wow, and if you are a newcomer you could get all your license signatures for an upgrade in a week!

And to think I was planning not to go...

I am keen, though have to sort my holidays at work (just been away for a month

I will only be a spectator as I have no 40 yet

Nothing wrong with spectating - the more the merrier - as you will soon discover that the club has a very welcoming social element that support all the events, competitive or not.

As the regs have now been published, if you are intending to compete or spectate - please post a reply here so others are aware.

For the record - Roy & I both intend to go and compete in the four detailed events.

See you there!

I think I will have to go on the Tuesday to be fair to my family. By the way, we are expecting number 2 now!

Have any of you guys received the entry forms yet?

Hi Martin

Congratulations on No2 being on the way. How are you going to fit them all in your Boxter? Time to get sensible wagon? Well done.

Email me your home address and I will post you a set of entry forms.

Anyone else not get them?

My feedback shows others going on the Tuesday so you won't be alone.

Having carried out a quick phone round this weekend, the consensus is that everyone will find it easier to book their own travel and accommadation this year as the form distributed by the MMRC is so simple and also the most cost effective.

Everyone seems to be going on Tuesday as far as I am aware, coming back Sunday morning.

If you are spectating you won't have a form so let me know what you want and I will help you get there.
