Carb Clearance Problems??

I have been tearing myself apart trying to decide whether or not to run the 8 barrel injection or not. I have finally accepted that the perfomance benifits for a normal street engine wont justify the cost, money that could be spent making the car go faster rather than look good.
So that leads me to my question. I want to try and take dual holley 650 carbs and i will gut them and turn them into throttle bodies and convert a manifold to take injectors bla bla bla. Is there any clearance problems with this type of setup? Is there a cetain manifold i should stay away from? Is there a manifold that someone is extremely happy with? If the dual is too much of a pain then i will go single, just thought it would be nice to do something interesting.
 
I would just buy a single 1000 crm throttle body and go with a victor jr. type intake, unless you want the look of two fours. If the engine is low engough in the chassis then you should have not clearance problems.
