Any body know where to source tail light lens for the mk1-- thats the fiat type , about 5" diam.?? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Flat,

Mine are Bosch lights. Try them.
You might try the various Fiat owners clubs.
One of their members should know of a supplier.

If I recall correctly, the tail lens is from a Chevrolet Corvair.

Also wondering why some of the earlier Mk I GT40s had two lenses on each side...anyone care to fill me in on the history of GT40 tail lenses?

Mk1 are Fiat 850 coupe.Simca.or Abarth.they are all the same,a company in Holland is reproing them
The 60-61 Corvair lights are for the Mk2 Gt40..I spent months finding them for the three Goodwood cars for Chris Melia

Got a set of new Fiat 850S taillights from Ricambio International in the UK. see http://www.ricambio-web.fsnet.co.uk/ , very reasonable price.

Mark W. I looked in John Allen's GT picture book and saw that early GT's up to P1035 had quad rear lights. P1036 has dual lights or at least it was restored that way.

Thanks guys, just dipping a toe in the water for the sake of that bit of authenticity. I have a toolmaking and plastic molding facility and was considering doing a repro.
