Need ERA Gas Tank seal material recc.

I pulled my ERA tanks this weekend and have a winner. Each was leaking as I suspected at the top flange seal. Truly a masochistic effort to extract these. I now am looking for recc from other what they are using (gasket material and sealant) for gas contact seals.

My tanks had rubber seals with no sealant. The inlet and outlet fittings on the flanges were installed with Permatex aero sealant (the nasty stuff in a can which we all used to use for 911 cases). This sealant is okay with oil but only fair with gas contact in my experience.

Loctite #30516 Aviation gasket sealant works great.
Completely gasoline proof, leakproof, high temp resistant, etc., etc.

Chuck, I just used gasket material (1/16" thick) that is sold in sheets at the parts store. You cut it to fit and sandwich it between the flanges as usual. It should seal like a carb gasket without any glue. I didn't want to have to scrape away old sealant to replace the gasket later as needed.
