Gt40\'s in Australia

Just curious, did a search and could not find anything.
Does anyone know if any original GT40's reside in Australia??

If I am correct there is only one and that belongs to David Bowden and resides in his collection of historic touring cars (race cars that is). There were I think at best 4 original cars in OZ. The Bowden car was reimported with great savings of duty. Regards

Ron Rowse in Alice Springs has an original one I believe (and a replica too). He posts on here occasinally. There used to be a couple in Melbourne (both red) some years ago too, but I don't know if they are still there. The only one that was in NZ got sold to an English owner some 12 years ago.

David Bowdens car is "fair dincum" as they say here in Aus, Ron Rouse's I have never seen and I do not know anyone who has seen it so I am waiting (sorry Ron and he IS A MATE) and there is another(I hope) which is at the Phillip Island Historics on the last week end of February. I will get some shots and verify if I can.

There was a perfect toy box at QR last W,end --Gulf colored GT40 and a Lola Mk3--? Genuine! PR has pics.
