Apart from ERA, who is building mono's these days and how do they stand up for detail ?

Jim,

David Brown in NZ makes them, they are in essence a direct copy of an original. I guess the detail is very accurate.

I believe Chris Melia has one for sale.

The CAV uses a Monocoque construction.

The last info that I heard was that Super Performance has 12 0n order and expects to start delivering about April or May 2005.

That's interesting; I heard they'd dropped their GT40 project. Of course, we'll probably never hear anything direct from Superperformance, everything will be second- or third-hand information.

If Superformance plans to use David Browns steel monocoques
then I know the $50,000 GT40 is not possible. You don't get that kind of work for peanuts. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
