After an excellent inaugural event in 2004, the NMRA Denso Ford National returns to Martin, MI to host the 2nd Annual Toyo Tires NMRA Ford Nationals. If you had a blast at this state of the art facility in 2004, we have even more in store for everyone this year. US 131 Motorsports Park’s staff will pumped and ready to go when we come into town, as this event will be their 2005 Season Opener! After a long cold Michigan winter, these folks are going to be lined up at the gate ready to see some all-Ford heads-up drag racing action.
Speaking of Fords, you can expect a pleasant surprise from Ford Motor Company & Ford Racing Performance Parts this weekend. Several of Ford’s V.I.P.’s & executives will be on the premises, and there are rumors that they will be cruising in with some brand new 2006 Mustangs! In addition, a Ford GT may make it’s way to the US131 Motorsport Park facility!
There are other great things happening in Michigan at the state’s biggest all-Ford drag racing event. Jessie Harris, the Queen of Diamonds, will be shooting for 300 mph in her jet dragster, and we will be expecting over 25 Fords to enter Hedman Hedders Wild Street! If you have a quick street car, come out and compete in the ultimate street class that requires a 30-mile cruise through city and highway traffic. There are awards for the quickest car, but also, the top 10.0, 11.0, 12.0, 13.0, 14.0, and 15.0 average!
Also, hundreds of Ford’s will be displayed at the NMRA All-Ford Auto Show & Shine Presented by Dallas Mustang. And don’t forget about the wild and crazy burnout contest, the swap meet and manufacturer’s midway. At a track like US 131 Motorsports Park, you can’t help but have a blast!
