Sorry guys, but the ad is very honest. It is definitely NOT a "replicar or a kit car".

It looks feels & sounds (and has been described) like a GENUINE GTD 40 !

Built for the owner by the factory and therefore "not a kit car" and to my knowledge, no-one has ever offered a "replica" GTD 40 before, so it would appear to be as listed. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

The Ford plate is kinda funny though! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

And the reserve price? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

If its not a kit car why does it have a build manual /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
It certainly looks like a GTD under the skin, including seats.
From the VIN plate is not properly registered as a new car but a modified one from an 1967 registered plate. Hmmm. As you say Dave, are you sitting comfortably, then I'll begin ..

I have one of those not 30 feet from where I am sitting right now. It is for certain a GTD. Looks like a standard "stock" build. Nice car and appears complete. In USA so if the registration is current thats worth something also.

The Ford badge is for effect only. Looks kinda cool though.
