GTD Bump Steer

I know the standard cortina uprights require shimming the steering rack 7/16" to reduce bump steer on a GTD. Does anyone know if this is still the case with Ray's big bearing front upright?

Many Thanks

Brian

Thanks Paul, I'll get my shims in right away.
Now if anyone is looking to write an article for the club mag and they don't have a subject to write about(hint, hint, hint), something that would be a big help to the guys completing their builds would be an article on how to set up and adjust a GTD the first time out. It would be helpful to understand how and in what order to set ride height, corner weights, chassis centerline, wheel camber, caster, toe-in, etc, etc...

Regards, Brian

The problem is, Brian, that we all have our own way of doing it, and therefore a bit self concious that we may be shot down in flames by other more knowledgable persons who have different methods or ideas. Its what works that counts, and yes we could write a huge amount on the subject, but it might be that for each method described you get more and more confused.
