Club GT40 had a run from Mt Cootha in Brisbane to The Trailer Boat club at Manly a beach side Hamlet about 20 klms
for Breakfast. After a leisurely run around the twisty bits of Mt Cootha we set off to Manly and had an enjoyable breakfast. Here are some pics.

Pete - looks like you had a nice day & a nice run. Why do you guys have to be 750kms away ?

Kind Regards,

Peter D.

That's only 3 hours in a GT40. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

From NSW to Queensland - 110km/h max, double demerit points/fines on all long weekends, cops on a hair trigger - all adds up to something more than 3 hours !!

Now if it was a 750km trip across the Northern Territory, that would be different - no speed limit (at all) on most of the major highways !!! The only problem would be coping with the 30-50degC heat !!

Kind Regards,

Peter D.

and dodging the kangeroos and road-trains...... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif
quote from a Northern Territory tourist guide:

"Stock and wildlife:
Many sealed and unsealed roads in the Northern Territory are unfenced, so beware of stock and wildlife. These can include birds, cattle, kangaroos and camels."
