Tightening Jubilee Clips

Guys

I was tightening some clips on my car yesterday.

Did you know that if you have a screwdriver with interchangable bits - take the bit out of the holder and the holder fits the bolt head on the Jubilee clip very easily.

I even had the advantage of electric screwdriver! and it will not slip out of the slot!!

Ian, sorry to ask, but what is a Jubilee clip? I guess it's not what one uses to hold a "short cigarette" at a rock concert is it? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bandito.gif

On this side of the pond they're called hose clamps.

Or you can use "slip joint" pliers on them. Prevents burnt fingers /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smoke.gif

for all you guys on the other side of the pond 'jubilee' is the trade name for hose clips here in the uk.

i don't think it has anything to do with the Queen's silver jubilee /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
