not the norm

hey gt-40 guys,
my question is a little different than what you may be used to seeing , but may be similar in theory. i am building a kit lamborghini diablowrongforum(hope not),but i intend to use a 302 ho from a 1989 mark8 with the audi016 trans axle . can anyone give me some direction into what is the smoothest route to go with this setup. for ex(conversion kits for trans, engine mods,computer upgrades,overall no-no). this is my first project so be gentle. thanks guys look forward to you knowledge.
