Name's Mark and I'm seriously considering adding a GT40 replica to my car collection. Will be lurking around on the Forum for now, trying to get as much info as possible before I leap
I live in Johannesburg, South Africa, and will be looking for an abandoned project, gatheing dust in someones garage. That means an old KCC replica with a modified suspension set-up, getting rid of the Ford Granada up-rights, to be a bit more true to the original. Will be building a comfortable road car with a few creature comforts (sorry purists) instead of an out-right track car
CAV and Peter Bailey replicas, although absolutely stunning, are a bit on the pricey side for me, so will be building and fabricating my own. With all the trials, tribulations, and tears of joy and pain that goes into building your own car.
This forum looks like a decent source of information, and will be very useful I'm sure. Be prepared for the usual Newbie and other dumb-ass questions.
