"I thought a real enthusiast would recognise the tyre by its dimensions. They were specially fabricated by Goodyear. Regards"

Cheeky bugger. I wonder if the bidder and the seller are in some way related?????

Just idle speculation is all......

Lesseee,

A slick tire 5 years before the first road racing slicks were used-no problem.

A butt-wad wider than ANY 40 used in 64-OK by me.

In OZ where ALL the 64 GT40's hung out-sounds right to me.

Please don't bid against me on this one.

Ya gotta love EvilBay.

The bidder is the same guy as the seller. Nobody pays $5,000 for an old race tire that's obviously a mislabed piece of junk....

ahaha...5000 usd for such coffee table.
For 5 dollars I can supply nicer one (with real Schumacher signature) rear Ferrari WC tyre.
Had that in my room for one week....then cantin..then garage...then trashed cause too much rubber smell all over.
In the shop even for 5 dollars I can supply a complete crashed BBS WTCC tyre coming directly from Nurburgring armco..ahaha.

And that is definitely NOT a gt40 wheel...

Hell, we ALL like your coffee table better, Doc. :)

With time perhaps I will be able to sell my wife on a similar interior decorating motif. For now it's confined to the garage.
