Have you switched from Audi to UN1 or Vice versa ?

I have 2 boxes now, as it seems you can't have to many with a mid-engine project.

#1 Audi 016-AAZ.

#2 Renault 369 from a delorean, essentialy a Un1, w/ flipped diff and other differences of course.

My question?

Has any one ran one of these boxes and had then switched to the other?

Why am I asking this, well I would like to rund the lower $ Audi unit, while saving, and saving, and some more saving to outfit the UN1 type with the old "Derek Bell" 6 spd dog box for some all out fun! Or the Zf in like 5 years.

I understand the shift linkage may be a prob, as well as clutch activation.

My main concern is more drive shaft and mounting to motor related?

Any thoughts on this?

Chevrolet or Ford, does not matter, but I have a reall sweet bowtie mill I'd like to use?

Thanks for any info or experiences in running either box, and maybe any probs that caused you to switch and what was required to swap?
