930 starters

Has anyone found a replacement starter for the 930. The standard starter is quite heavy, and bulky. I am also running into the problem of alignment of the starter with its mounting holes. because I have lowered and moved the engine forward, the starter will not lineup with the mounting holes. It is not clockable, but I can weld on some ears to make it work. Has anyone used another starter in the stock location? If so are there any alignment issues?

I have a gear reduction unit for a 930 that I'm selling shortly. It would not fit where I needed it to. IHI makes some nice 930 units that have extended noses and so forth. If you get some pictures up I'm sure some of us can help out. I can also post pictures of what I have, or, have a look at this thread:
