Hi.

I am a GT40 nut. I guess that is obvious otherwise I wouldn't be here.

I am involved with vintage auto racing and a model builder. Occaisionally I get to drive a friends GT40 roadster (a real one), built in 1970.

I have had the opportunity to get some track time in a Superformance continuation GT40 with a 565hp Roush big block at Road Atlanta. Took almost two weeks to get the stupid grin off my face.

My reason here is primarily research. I like my models to be chassis specific and accurate. Currently I am building a 1:16 scale of chassis 1037, originally a Canadian Comstock Racing team car to chassis 1000. 1037 is currently owned by Tom Mabey and is being restored to it's original Comstock configuration. In it's down time it lives at the Shelby Museum. The car will be going on a tour of Europe in 2008/9.
