Cobra Roundup Event Change: Thunderhill Raceway! - Club Cobra
John has asked me to pass on to the GT40 community an invitation to attend a really fun track day event. Please see the link above.
This is the outcome of splitting off the track event from the Western States Cobra Bash. The WSCB founders decided to change the focus of the event to a more touring type gathering and in doing so it became difficult to include the track day. The track day people, a small group of NASA racers and Factory five spec racers, have therefor decided to put on a stand alone meet at Thunderhill Raceway in Northern California on July 2nd 2009.
This is the day before (Thursday) that the Shelby Club begins the annual Mini Nats at the same track on Friday 6-3-2009 thu Sunday 6-5. This is the premier Ford powered open track meet each year on the west coast.

As a personal note: The Cobra people that this group is mostly made up of really have treated the limited number of GT40 attendees really nicely and has welcomed us as part of the extended Ford historic race car family.
