fuel gauge spf mk2 n°2112

hello from france,
i have a problem with my fuel gauge.vhen the tank is full the indicator of the gauge still at 1/4-1/2
if somedody have this problem?

Henry, the fuel sender unit is on the right side of the car under the panel in the door area with many screws in it. You will have to remove the sender from the tand and check that the float is not leaking and filling with fuel. Also this is a way to adjust the gauge by bending the float. I have changed mine to a fuel probe like is used in airplanes and changed the gauge to the type you can calibrate.

My car runs out of fuel when the gauge reads 1/4 tank, I have learned to live with it but is there a fairly quick fix?

Mine runs out at about 1/8. Opening the sender hole and measuring I have 1.25 gal on each side left. Won't suck up that last bit, but the gauge is pretty accurate.

Had to adjust my float but, since adjusted reads fine.
