A LATE SUMMER CELEBRATION IN SUPPORT OF THE CHELSEA PENSIONERS:
INCLUDING LEGENDARY LE MANS RACING CARS & DRIVERS. CLASSIC, PERFORMANCE & PRESTIGE AUTOMOBILES. CAR PARADES & MILITARY DISPLAYS, TRADE & MEMORABILIA STANDS – ALL HOSTED AT THE FAMOUS ROYAL HOSPITAL CHELSEA, CELEBRATED VENUE OF THE CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW AND HOME TO THE CHELSEA PENSIONERS.
In aid of Friends of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, General the Lord Walker GCB CMG CBE DL and FIVE TIMES LE MANS WINNER Derek Bell MBE invite you to support a fun day out with great cars and company in the heart of the Chelsea & Kensington village. Held in the grounds of the venerable Royal Hospital Chelsea, we welcome you to a feast of ‘Auto Legends’ entertainment, celebrating the history of the legendary Le Mans 24hrs race and the many classic marques that made their name there.
For the first time ever at this fabulous cental London location, visitors can bring the whole family to witness an unparalleled display of spectacular 230mph+ Le Mans cars and to meet and collect autographs from some of the legendary race drivers that tamed these monsters of the track. Also a treat for car lovers, young and old, a great number of Le Mans related classic, prestige and performance automobiles and dedicated car clubs have been invited to make it their annual Chelsea rendezvous as a superb supporting cast.
As this event is a special mix of race legends and military heroes, brought together to mark their respect and raise funds for the Chelsea Pensioners, the day's theme extends to involve the military with superb displays provided by both soldier and machine.
