Amp gauge problem

Does anybody know the serial number SPH fixed the amp gague problem. I have #2183 and my gague reads at about a steady 25 and does not peg the needle. Dennis emailed his fix but and we are going to check mine out but is there any more info out there?? Thanks

I don't think SPF serial numbers followed production dates exactly. My SPF MkII was delivered 12/07 #2226. I had to do the ammeter wiring mod. Not a big deal.

I just got rid of it and put in a volt meter, unless your going for originality, its a far better indicator of what the electrical system is doing in your car.

What Jack said. Really, get rid of the ammeter gauge. Its almost useless in today's world. Put a voltmeter in for a more accurate representation of what your electrical system is doing.
