It is amazing that they let just anybody drive the track in whatever car they showed up in. In 1984.
Rockingham Speedway is about 1.5 hours South of where Jeff and I live. The SCCA does road races there and it is a fun track to run on, although the laptimes are a bit short at just over a minute.

This is great! someone even has a horn that plays Dixie! Pretty cool how no one crashed, i guess people were better drivers back then; or maybe its because most of them don't brake 50mph.
Last year, i ran a road course that was in the middle of an oval and also used one and a half of the oval turns. We ended up blowing the motor due to the oil going to one side of the engine during the banked parts of the track..
