They are very close. A majority of the parts will interchange with an FAV GT40. The items that have been changed are to make it more "user friendly" (AC, etc.).
Note that you are not going to find a 15 year old SPF GT40 to import into Canada. In fact, there are very few GT replicas that are 15 yeard old much other than some KVAs and some ERAs. And fewer old left hand drive replicas.

Your cost to build will depend on many factors, your engine choice, what you intend to do with the car and if you do the install or have it done. There could be a very large variation in price with different choices.
