SPF dash finish material?

The SPF GT40 dash is finished in an interesting rubbery flat black (or dark charcoal)-colored material. Anyone know what that stuff is and where to get it?

I'm pretty sure it is some kind of paint. I bet you can find out from SPF in LA. I think it looks good.

Alan:
A friend of mine who does paint told me that the material is called "soft touch clear coat". He said it was easily available.
The superformance I saw at Carlisle last year had it applied to the dash...very nice finish.

Some of that stuff is interesting, however I'm wondering why none of the reviews or articles are dated past 2007 ??
