This year's TdF entry list show:
205 Mille/Mahe FRA/FRA Any idea's for this 1965 car?
206 Steel/Niermann DEU/DEU This is 1079 of Chris Stahl regular of this site and TdF. Nice to see this car continuing is very busy and succesfull career!!
217 Albuquerque/Bustorff PRT/PRT Any idea's for this 1965 car?

Looking forward seeing these cars in competition on Nogaro circuit 14th of april!

I'd appreciate an update from the event as I think the three represent recent changes of ownership - well five years for 1024 but I think within about a year for the other two

By the time they got down to Nogaro they were down to 3:
SN1079: Chris Stahl visits here under the thread "to whom it may concern" His practice did not give him a good starting place but in the race he worked his way though the field.

SN1024: Portugees team José Manuel ALBUQUERQUE/BUSTORF: Very effective but had difficulty getting the lead of a french Cobra who seemed to benifit from be familiar with this circuit.

SN1108: F KICQ-P GAUDARD although listed as a 1969 car Spain lists this car as 1971 bare chassis build by David Piper. The final rebuild by Hall and Fowler seems of US show standard. A car without racing history so running it in the regularity class is a good way to exercise it.

Here you can find some pics I took at the "Tuileries" scrutineering.

Thanks a lot for this info. Many changes have been made to the bodywork between Tour Auto 2009 and Tour Auto 2011. I was unable to recognize P/1085.

Is the red car actualy Gill Jacksons old 1085 or is it the Wingfeild recreation called 1085A?

Evidence would suggest that it's the latter (actually a Sbarro car, supposedly, finished by Windfield), which was recently for sale at Oakfield's:

Sbarro GT40 1085A for sale in UK

1085 is painted blue (and was recently listed for sale at Lee Maxted-Page's website, although now it shows as being sold).

The likelihood that somebody would buy the blue 1085, then immediately paint it to perfectly replicate the red paint scheme on 1085A stretches the imagination. I've seen 1085 in the flesh, and have only seen photos of 1085A. But the evidence leads me to believe that the TdF car was 1085A.

The spoilers at the edge of the nose in both the link and the photo above seem to add weight to it being 1085A - could Mr Goddard comment ?

Thanks a lot for this discussion. I think we can conclude that it was 1085A at Tour Auto 2011. There are many differences with 1085 seen at Tour Auto 2009. You will be able to compare with these two pics I took at the Tuileries garden in Paris.
