Were the cars prepared by Holman & Moody different from the 3 prepared by Shelby and the 2 XGT's prepared by Shelby for A. Mann? (I realize that the XGT's used aluminium in their construction.)
What prompted this question were the restorations of 1015 and XGT2 both of which had their monocoques painted metallic blue or Cobra Blue, which if this did happen in 66, may have been a form of branding as most other GT40's had black body structures.
I may have come across a period photo of the #3 car in the shop with a blueish colored tub (rear deck was opened.)
So were there differences between the 2 teams in preparation and constrcution of their cars?
