A Pantera buddy needs help from a ZF-equipped GT40 owner.
The Pantera uses a backup light switch which threads into the side of the cover which bolts to the shifter box:
The hole in my friend's cover has been stripped out, so the switch will no longer remain in position, so his backup lights don't work. Since GT40s don't have backup lights, this hole is normally unused and unnecessary.
What he needs to do is swap his cover for one whose hole is still intact. He'd be willing to send you his cover and you could then send yours back to him once you receive it. The cover is simply held in place with four bolts, one at each corner, so changing it is a matter of seconds.
